Upon studying medicine he held a pratice in the north of France for several years, before moving to Annecy in the French Alps. These works first brought him to the attention of the public. However, inorder to convey his fascination with the atmospheric beauty of old European cities and the elegance of people moving through these spaces, he feels that oil on canvas provides a much more suitable means of expression.
